i don't really follow the ediets meal plan. i look at what they say i need to eat and then i chose some things off of it and add my own things. i mostly eat lean cuisenes, canned fruit and veggies, granola bars or cereal, yogurt, and various other low-cal snacks. my boyfriend however, does more of a low carb thing. he mostly just eats steak and chicken. every now and then he eats rice with it, but mostly just meat. i don't follow their workout plan thing either. my boyfriend, i can't believe i keep refrencing back to him, lol, has always been big into bodybuilding so he set me up on a workout plan. this is what i do: i workout 5 days a week..i do legs & cardio, arms, shoulders, & cardio, chest, back, & cardio, abs & cardio, and then a full day of just cardio. that way i am getting weight training but also cardio. cardio is super important..don't ever leave that out. just walking somewhere instead of driving or taking the stairs helps a ton!! my friend did curves last year, she said she liked it and it helped her. i don't really know how it works though. if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Can I ask why you would say it worked for you?

i guess i would say that it worked for me because
1-i was tired of being large
2-there was inspirational programs to watch through out the 8 weeks
3-there was lots of benificial information on the ediets and discovery
health website
4-if i needed extra support or encouragement i could get it from these
websites or from friends and family
and i guess the main reason why is because i really wanted it for myself. not just to finally be "skinny", but to also be healthy so i could live a longer life. i needed to do something now so my weight wouldn't become so out of control in the future. i was determined to change my lifestyle. also, knowing that there were thousands of other people out there who were doing this too (going through the struggles and rejoicing in the rewards from the hardwork) made me not feel as alone in my struggle. i think a program will only work for you if you really want it for yourself. you can't want it because of someone else. if you don't truly believe in your abilities or yourself, then i personally don't believe any type of diet program will work. you also have to finally make a decision that it is going to be a lifestyle decision and until you do that then you won't be successful. if you just do the 8 week program and stop, then you will gain the weight back and have to start all over. another thing, ediets is very lenient. it can adjust to any lifestyle and the types of foods you like. you don't have to follow it step by step, but it does have a ton of information for every type of person. basically it worked for me because i was ready for a change and i knew other people were trying just as hard as i was. once again, feel free to comment or ask anything else. i hope this helps you some. just tell me if it doesn't and i can try to clarify myself better.
